...damn, that's just... sorry about your situation. I hope that it doesn't go bad; the potential of losing a family member is truly an unfortunate situation.
Try your best to remain positive, and hope for the best. Don't let negativity bite so soon. As cheesy as this sounds, try your best to remain hopeful, and keep you, your mother's, and your family's spirits up. Morale helps. |

As I have told you before, someone close to me had to go in for brain surgery. When we would visit him in the hospital, both before and after the operation, we kept joking about how silly he looked to make him smile and laugh. If we did not, he might had thought that something was seriously wrong. Sure, the nurses gave us looks, but he was cheerful.
He pulled through, though he has a rather nasty looking scar on his head. And is bald now. Both will change over time, but the point is is that he is feeling great.
While your mom is in the hospital, you must ensure her happiness. Make her smile and laugh. Don't be all gloomy and depressed or she'll be too. Don't make her worry, either.
I wish you, your family, your mother, and the doctors and nurses luck.
That's all I can really say.
Good luck. |

Oh my god, Cody. I'm so sorry. My mom was in the hospital once, and while it was nothing as bad as this, she was in bad shape after her own surgery, so I know how you feel.
You've always got backup from me if you feel down. Don't give up, okay? |

That's horrible, Cody. You're a very tough and respectable person, and you have gone through alot of things that would make me go insane. I only wish the best of luck to your mother, Cody. |

I think my heart just broke reading that.
I remember when my mom got her gull bladder removed. The doctors had to keep her because of the effect the surgery had on her. They said she could have died if they had let her go, which they almost did.

...Not much I can say. I can't think of any support, other than: I'm praying for you. All I can really do is try to cheer you up. |

My mom also had surgery! She had to have some very certain organs removed. I commend her for not being depressed about it. |

One of my closest friends went in for surgery a few years back. She was really sick afterwards, so I bought her a stuffie or something.
Ooh, I know what I'm going to say!
Cody, make sure your mom is okay, and as you walk into/see her off to the hospital, make sure she knows that you don't have a bit of doubt in her mind that it will be a complete success.
As Maiq and Medi said, stay optimistic. She'll live. As long as she thinks she will, she'll live. |

I wish you best of luck. I hope I won't sound like some weird mystical religious-cracked prick, but... I'll pray for you and your mother. And I'll put my heart into it.
Keep your head up. |

The worst I've had to see my mothr suffer through is the aftereffect of an implant surgury that reroutes the pain of her legs, which are virtually without cartalidge and constantly inhibiting her mobility.
I wish your mother luck,Cody. |

Crazy Cody, I'm sorry about your mom, and I hope that she does survive in the surgery. I'm sure that if you have the courage, the hope, and the faith, that your mother will go through with the surgery. I'll add her to my book of people of whom I pray for every night, and hopefully she gets better.
Like Shadow Articuno said earlier, when you visit your mother, don't show any signs of you not having faith. Always tell her, that she'll live through this. Now, I'm not sure what things you do together, so I'll use this as an example. Let's say that you and your mother eat breakfast together. You could say, "Mom, I can't wait until our next breakfast." Sources of motivation, I've seen this once in a medical magazine, shows that it increases the chances of surviving. I'm not sure how much, but I'll look for the article and post more about it, if I can find it.
Though, visit your mother often, bring her flowers, and do some kind deeds, if you don't already. Hearing you, doing good deeds will make her much happier.
I will pray for your mother and your familiy every night, before I go to sleep. I hope she gets better. |
