All of them shot at the same targets, but when several began to be placed around, the Cackletta Bots had to adjust to the individual circuits and multiple directions and commands rather than just having all five follow the same one...

He indicated two of the targets only. "Have the destruction of these targets I am gesturing to."

Fawful struggled to keep from clapping a hand to his forehead. Darn. The bots had confused the number of attackers with the number of targets to be decimated...
"Have the deactivation," he ordered. He'd have to do quite some work on the AI hive-mind tonight...

Fawful resumed work almost immediately the next day. He knew he had a lot to do.

They remained deactivated until Fawful finished his work and commanded them to activate again.

Meanwhile, back in Dark Land, a very strange event had transpired. A second Kammy Koopa had attempted to enter the castle.

Naturally, the double had been locked up and her wand (and other items) had been taken away. The 'real' Kammy was looking over these items in a mixture of shock and awe.

They were just like hers... Right down to the notes in the tome of potion formulas.

Bowser blinked.
"...What?" he managed at last, looking between his two highest-ranking Koopas, Kamek and Kammy. "How can there be...TWO Kammys? One was bad enough... Did you guys mess with a cloning spell or something- or was it Ludwig and his chemistry set again?"
It certainly wouldn't have been the first time his children had caused chaos...He shuddered at the memory of the time Ludwig had accidentally managed to clone several foul-tempered Chain Chomps that had just broken free from their leashes, which had then proceeded to tear the place apart.
The Koopa King was utterly baffled...moreso than usual.

"I do not know sir, but I can assure you that the problem will be solved within the week. But... This is rather intruiging. From what I have seen, she carries the same items as I do. If this is true..." Kammy said as she picked up a small black book. "...then this should help explain."

The book was Kammy's diary.

She opened it and began to skim through... until she found something very odd.

"... What's this about 'my brother'? I don't have a brother." she muttered.

Kammy Koopa fell dead silent as she stared at what came next.

In the small book...

It said...

That her brother was...

Kamek.

She stared at the page out of shock and horror. The claim was, of course, false in this reality, but the notion was just... Frightening.

Kamek, too, looked at the book...and nearly had a heart attack.
"WHAT?!"
What was strangest about the page, though, was the context...He and Kammy both knew full well that they were not related, but the style the diary written in described several such events in a format that told them that the Kammy who had written the diary was apparently well aware that Kamek was her brother. Which he was NOT.
His head was spinning. "I don't understand any of this," he managed at last. "How- ..." He trailed off, utterly lost.

"Don't look at my diary!" snapped the confused Koopa. Regardless of the 'Kamek is her brother' thing, this was - in a way - her diary.

She dared to look at the book and smirked. Apparently, Kamek had taken her crystal ball to scry since his had fallen into a lava-river that ran through the castle. The second Kammy had snuck into his room and swiped his wand, which she then used to play 'fetch' with Prince Larry's pet Chain Chomp. By the time Kamek finished scrying, the wand had been back on his desk and 'somehow' mangled itself.

Kammy Koopa turned the page and discovered what 'Kammy' had written prior starting her experiment.

"According to this, 'I' was about to start experiments with dimensional magic..."
