Whoo! Managed to level up all my fairies! Now I can equip whichever one I want. I also found out the names of the red and blue ones.

Sierra (yellow) allows me to shoot beams from my sword. Reef (red) doubles my attack strength. Nelly (blue) doubles my defense.

I think I can level them up again, as well.
