They already dumbed down a Zelda game:

Minish Cap.

Way too easy, even for a portable game.

See also: Twilight Princess. The only boss I lost more than 5 hearts against was Ganondorf, and that was mainly because it took me a few minutes to figure out his pattern.

EDIT: Oh, and the room with the 3 armored knights in that one cave.

You know whats sad? Those Dark Nuts you fight before Ganondorf is allot harder then Ganondorf himself.
...not like they're hard either...
...instead of making Zelda easier or whatever they are going to do, like others have said, add difficulty's; easy and hard...
...no normal...
...one for casual...
...one for us...
...because we all know Zelda games are way to easy...
...I beat gannondork by just running behind him, you dont even have to do that back slice combo thing...

They're only making the games more enjoyable. You like games that aren't enjoyable?

Enjoyable =/= "accessible for nongamers". At the very least, I hope they stop here and leave their other franchises like Metroid and Fire Emblem to the hardcore gamers.

Fire Emblem, At the least. It has a cult following. Cults usually don't include Casuals. Cults usually rule the market of that one series.

SM: Frankly, some of the so-called "franchise games" are quite difficult for nongamers to play, so making accessible games for these players is key. With Zelda, we have to consider how to make it accessible for new gamers to pick up and play and enjoy just as hardcore gamers have. For example, we've got the Touch Generations series. Now, we're not necessarily going to make our "franchise" games in that style, but we'll take what we know and have learned -- the philosophy behind those games -- and incorporate it into franchise games. That's a philosophy that's very strong at Nintendo.

I saw that, And I KNOW they're going to dumb down the games and deny it.
