I wonder . . . rather than having one villain manipulating another, what if there was a Zelda game where there's two main villains whose goals are in direct conflict with each other? With Link and Zelda and the rest of the land kinda caught in the middle? |
That would be the next step towards awesomeness.
I would love ANY game that does that.
People never seem to realize how much people would enjoy a game like that. |

Dammit, people with ideas like that need to work in the game industry. |

Seiken Densetsu 3 anyone? (Which, by the way, I am playing at the time of this writing and getting through Duran's/Angela's quest) There's 3 different evil parties that seek domination of the world. Two get wiped out, while the third ends up getting the lion's share. Who wins and loses depends on who you choose as your main character.
Back on topic...
Something I'd like to see would be a continuation of the TP storyline. The moment Midna shattered the mirror, I went "WHYYYY?!?"
However, MAGIC IS A MUST. That's pretty much my only gripe I had with TP (though the fact that you either had to find Bombs in Chests or buy 'em also cheesed me off a little).
Another thing I'd like to see would be "Universe-hopping." Not just being dropped into one, like in MM, LA, OoS or OoA, but actually going between Hyrule and the other Universe(s) continually.
What's more, whenever there's ANY upgrading in the 3-D Zeldas, only one or two of the secondary items EVER get upgraded. It'd be cool to see a Zelda in which you could upgrade a good portion of the items you get over the course of the game.
That should do for the moment. |

Either a Wii remake of OOT or a zelda game staring Ganon himself. And a steampunk Zelda game wouldn't be bad either. |

Also, I agree about VotF. t was a rumor, so I assumed it was fake, but I still hoped to God that it was real. |

ANYHOW, ON TOPIC, YOSHI THINKS THEY SHOULD USE THE SAME ENGINE THEY DID WITH ZELDA TWO, ADVENTURE OF LINK. IT'S PRETTY DANG EPIC, AND NOT JUST BECAUSE IT'S LIKE SUPER PAPER MARIO. BUT IT SHOULDN'T BE SO HARD, AND WHEN YOU DIE, YOU SHOULD BE SET BACK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TEMPLE, INSTEAD OF NEXT TO ZELDA'S SLEEPING BEAUTY SPOOF.
GRAAAAAAAAAAGH. |

An actually good remake of Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil. With good controls, graphics, cutscenes, and such. |

"MY BOI! This remake is what ALL true warriors strive FOR!" *shot*
Although, in all seriousness, having Zelda playable would be nice. Maybe not to the extent of WoG, but with some larger role or something, since, you know, her name's in the *crag* title. If Twilight Princess establishes a trend of Link not having magical abilities, then Zelda could be the "magic user" instead.
Let's see. I like Warlord Mike's idea of having more of your items "upgradable" later on. That way, the items you get at the beginning of the game could stay useful throughout it. If by "universe hopping" you mean LttP or MP2 style, then that might be cool to see in a Zelda game again, although Nintendo's been kinda beating that idea into the ground lately.
And going back to the "multiple villains fighting against each other" thing, how would Ganondorf fit into that kind of plot? He's never really met his equal in a Zelda game (besides, well, Link, of course) and would look a little bizarre fighting against a villainous newcomer. So if there's multiple "big bads," that would probably keep Ganon out of a central role, unfortunately. And Link and Zelda would be fighting against two complete newcomers, which might be a little bit of a bad thing.
And thanks for the complements, guys, but trust me. You don't want me working in the videogame industry. |

...I have the best idea!... ...Link has this little ball... ...and when you roll it around you pick up little objects, ,making the ball bigger!...
...seriously though, I really don't want anything really different other than OVER 9000 maybe 3 times harder... ...I seriously doubt that Nintendo hasn't had over HALF of these idea's if not ALL... ...Thats the point of the company... ...To make and create ideas... ...And yes, I know about the whole Hardcore gaming... ...but for me, Nintendo(NES) (SNES)(N64)(GMCBE)(Wii) never really was hardcore... ~White Shy Guy |

Maybe Link is invited to the castle by zelda for cake but then ganondorf comes and kidnaps her and hides all the triforce pieces in paintings throughout the castle
I love the idea of link and some futurisitic elements or maybe instead of everything in hyrule its more of link traveling across the world. Or Ganondorf could take over zelda and banish Link into another kingdom. |

That's partly why I think most of the items should: if they end up getting "replaced" by something else you get, they lose their usefulness.
Before I answer the "Universe Hopping" bit, what's MP2? |

Metroid Prime 2.
Another good example would be the Light/Dark Worlds from A Link to the Past. |

Not quite.
What I mean is you start in Hyrule, but then you go to Termina to do something, then Holodrum, etc.
That's the Universe Hopping I'm thinking of; not just Light/Dark versions of the same world. |

A Legend of Zelda-themed Soulcalibur-style fighting game. You could play as Link, Zelda, Sheik, Midna, a Goron, Tingle, the Happy Mask Salesman, Skull Kid, Agahnim, Young Link, the King (MAH BOI) and so on. I'd buy that. |
