Well, I wouldn't live in any of the countries from the Elder Scrolls series, as the main character might rob or kill me. Same with Albion.
The Pokemon World sounds fun, but I would probably get kidnapped by the local Evil Organization and forced to do their evil research and stuff as my incredible knowledge and unexplained existence would eventually get me into trouble...
The Mario Planet would be fun too, but I would either have to hide in a neutral country or run away every time Dark Land's Troops showed up, as explosions and doom are never far behind.
The Harry Potter version of the world is definitely out of the question as it has evil wizards and witches and the good ones would quickly erase my knowledge of their existence...
Hyrule is amazing in any era. One problem would be, for example, if I was in the Ocarina of Time era, as the Hylians and Hyrulians are the most common known human race and the only other truly human race that is there is the Gerudos and I do not want to be mistaken for some sort of Gerudo/Hylian love child and thus be chased off by most people, specifically the Hylians, as they would fear that I would steal from them or something.
Megaman's Earth would be fun too. There's the Earth of StarForce, whose technology is advanced in the field of... well, gadgets really. Network has unparalleled Internet servers which can support a three-dimensional interactive digital world and hundred of thousands, if not billions of human-partnered Net Navis. Then there's the 'real' Mega-Earth: The one with robots.
The Final Fantasy worlds are far too numerous to go on about right now, but I would not choose them anyway, thanks to evil magi and monsters that lurk about every corner and the hero-parties would rob every home... xD
Chrono Trigger is so subject to time paradoxes that I would vanish from existence at any given second thanks to Chrono's party and Lavos' tampering with the fabrics of time and space.
I can't think of anywhere else right at this minute, but the Mega-worlds seem the more ideal. Well, Mega-Worlds and the Pokeworld if I keep my mouth shut. |

The subject of 'if I was in there' has popped into my head quite often. The Cons, though, often outweigh the Pros. Especially with Chrono Trigger. The cons are monsters, time-paradoxes, and Lavos. There are many Pros, but Lavos and time-paradoxes heavily outweigh the pros. |

But the CT one kinda depends. If you lived in the post-CT timeline, there really isn't that much to worry about, and the mystics were already calmed when Ozzie's Fort was destroyed in AD 600, leaving almost no problem.*strokes metaphorical beard* |

Post CT could still be affected. One small change could drastically alter the timeline. |

Post CT could still be affected. One small change could drastically alter the timeline. | Incorrect. The only reason Gates existed was because of Lavos, thus causing the massive Gate at Magus' Castle. And there was only a small time frame after Lavos' death during which Gates would still work.
And why are we talking about CT? [/derail]*strokes metaphorical beard* |

I was trying to think of a downside for Saturn Valley, and I didn't find one, because Saturn Valley is so awesome.
But if I couldn't choose Saturn Valley, I'd have to say Yoshi's Island. NOTHING there poses a threat. I can step on a shy guy if it tries to attack me, and a little kick would kill virtually anything outside of a castle. I could get high on fuzzies, eat fruit all day, have races with boshi, and eat yoshi cookies. The shroobs were defeated, so yoob is nothing to worry about, and Bowser hasn't attacked yoshi's island since Mario was a Baby. PARADISE, MAN.
Then there's New Pork City. Sure, it's the housing of a demonic child bent on world domination, but does anyone there get harmed? As long as they don't go into the sewer/the empire porky building, and stay FAR FAR FAR away from the porky statue, they're good to go. I mean, the place has an ARCADE, a BAKERY, a ROMANTIC CLIFFSIDE VIEW, and theme park, not to mention tons of stuff you never get to see.
And now I'm remembering Fort Francis. There's a wii, a hi-tech security system, someone to play games, and rant about how casual they are with, and as long as I don't steal digital butterflies, or do anything to anger Francis, there's no trace of danger.
Now that I'm thinking about Paper Mario games, shy guy's toy box is THE PLACE to be in. If you play with the shy guys, they won't beat you up, and dangit, playing with shy guys sounds fun. Mario has literally no business there anymore, and the place has an army to protect meh if protection is needed.
Then again, DK Isle sounds like a lot of win, too. Honestly if a little monkey like Tiny, or Diddy can beat up the enemies, I should be able to do the same, pretty much elimenating my thoughts on safety. On the hand of fun, I'd be able to eat golden bananas everywhere, climb vines in jungle japes, get a tan in angry aztec, stay the *crag* away from frantic factory, and that lagoon place, play with the flow of time in fungi forest, get freakin' rich in crystal cave, and stay the *crag* away from creepy castle, and K. Rool's base.
MY BRAIN HURTS. |

Lilycove City from Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. It has a department store, a contest hall, a museum, a beach, and it's right next to the Safari Zone.
Or Windfall Island. I've always really liked that place for some reason.
Maybe Midday Garden from Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Though Evening Lake is the coolest homeworld (It has a whale!), Midday Gardens is the prettiest.
Then again, I'd also like to live in Poshley Heights from PM:TYD, but I doubt I could afford it. |
