Nintendo contributes to it; Wii Play, Link's Crossbow Training, and Wii Music are all "shovelware." | At least their "Shovelware" is decent. |

Ehh...maybe, maybe not. Wii Play IMO was just like Mario Party without the Mario, the Party, or 80% of the minigames. |

All I can say is this:
Nintendo is broadening its horizons to accompany all people instead of focusing on core gamers. Right. We understand that.
But, I have yet to get the experience from Wii Music that I got with older games by Nintendo. Nintendo wants people to experience togetherness on the Wii more than competition.
...Because competition pisses people off... a lot.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Twilight Princess are probably the closest I can get to the games of old that I grew to respect. However, they can't even compete with their predecessors. Wind Waker may have looked different, but hell, it felt much more like a Zelda game than Twilight Princess. And in Brawl, well, the gameplay is just slow and bouncy.
In no way are Nintendo's games BAD, but they just lack the same experiences that we've learned to crave. |
