If he recieved a warning BEFORE THE STRIKE, then this court topic is fairly useless.

This is why moderators need to be assigned to certain forums, and only have dictatorial powers in their respected sections.

If moderators only moderated sections of forums assigned to them, we wouldn't have situations like this where one mod sees something, and gives it a warning, and another gives it a strike. The purposes of warning a post is to give them a second chance, whereas strikes are to punish. Now tell me, is it truly fair if someone gives you another chance, and then another to jump in and, without the concent of the other, punish you for said crime?

This appears, from the way I've interpreted the posts, to be the situation. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The separate forums idea would prevent this from happening.

No, I actually didn't see how giving moderators different boards to moderate would actually affect the problem in any way whatsoever.

Besides, the warnings are automated(Correct me if I'm wrong), and what the mods (probably) do is strike a post, if they see a report for it, and deem it strike-worthy. The fault is generally on the mod's part, for not reading the post date difference.

Oh, and I'm not trying to be a smartass. What I meant was from your second and third statements. In fact, I even stated to stop derailing earlier in this thread, so why would I have any problems with the first statement?

But the one problem in your statement(And correct me again if I'm wrong), is that the warnings are (usually) automated, meaning a mod could still give it a strike without realizing so.

Seperate forum mods would not work. If the OT mod is not online when shit is breaking loose in OT, then... well FAILED IDEA THERE.

It was a small mistake for the moderators and I expect another mod to vote not guilty.

I'm fairly certain mods send PM's stating the warning.

And you people seem to think internet damage cannot be undone. If shit breaks out in OT, eventually Francis or the OT mod will get on, reverse the damage, and jail/ban those responsible.

The moderators need to be more strict in their punishments. I can see warnings being useful in SOME cases, but for the most part, rule breakers need to be jailed.

Now look at me, the hypocrite. I'm derailing the topic. I should continue this in Feedback. This was a mistake, and the defendent is not guilty.
