You sound like a living strawman argument right there.
Global warming as a "melt the ice caps and give everyone cancer" doesn't exist, but the world is getting warmer.

One of my friends, however, brought up an interesting topic before. She said that this is only a cycle that happens every other millennium or so. The world will spin a little out of control for a while, then return to normal after the darker era. She said according to history, when the first cycle that humans experienced happened, those people believed that the gods were taking their wrath out on the people. This is an intriguing theory, but I still believe in global warming.
Also, fish aren't dying because they're choking on plastic. The broken-down plastic is releasing estrogen into the water, making male fish tranvestites and giving female fish too much estrogen. There's too many girls in the water now. |

The plastic that's been sitting in the oceans for a while is starting to break down. Those decomposed plastic parts have some chemical that makes organisms produce more estrogen.
I mixed up that part slightly. |
