Well hai thar folks. It's been quite a long time since I've made a post around here, and I figured it was about time to get a new one in.
First up we have And Yet It Moves a classic style platformer... with a bit of a twist of being able to rotate the entire level at command. While the world is rotating, everything is frozen in place, but when it's done, everything is shot downward at the same speed it was going (meaning you can't use it to save your skin... you've got to be smart). The game suffers from lack of music, but the visuals combined with the gameplay make for an interesting experience.
Next up we have Racing Pitch... probably one of the most unique "racing" games I've ever played. It's pretty standard... you have one car that you race around the track as fast as possible... but the car is fueled by your ability to mimic the sound of a race car engine. That's right... to play this game... you have to have a microphone... and babble racing car sounds into it like an idiot. The main game gets rather monotonous after a while, but the game comes packed with numerous other features.
Ocular Ink is an interesting game starring a paintbrush-weilding eyeball. The game is played through the mouse mostly, as you use a paintbrush to flick evil body parts into walls to watch them splat into pieces. As far as I know, the main antagonist is a pirate eyeball with an eyepatch... so humor is quite present in this.
Hikkikomori Quest is an RPG Maker game starring a socially-inept-weakling-otaku-shut-in named Hikkikomori whose physical strength has atrophied over the course of several years of never going outside. The story follows him going to get food from the local store after running out of his own stocks, but his fear of the outdoors triggers a defense mechanism that makes his imagination go wild, turning an everyday chore into a dungeon-crawling quest. Hits way too close to home to anyone that has anything in common with this guy.
And last but oh so certainly not least:
Iji. Download this game. Right freaking now. Despite the graphics that could've been so much better if this guy had help, this game has some of the most amazing platform shooting gameplay I've played in a while. The story is also open-ended to a certain extent, and so are quite a few other features, so the replay value is high. Plus the music is mostly Chiptune and SID-Metal... you can't get much better than that.
From the creator of AVGN in Pixel Land Blast comes this...
Warp-Hole is a Portal style game starring a simple man named Bob. He is forced to endure the challenges of the insane computer DaVIS. His only weapon? The Warp-Hole Gun. You must use this to get through the challenges normally impossible without.
I've mentioned this game before, but I never got sufficient chance to play it until recently, and I beat it. And I can honestly say that THIS GAME IS FREAKING AMAZING AND YOU MUST DOWNLOAD IT. It's a point-and-click adventure game, but it's a great point-and-click adventure game.
You play as a purple-haired chick named Sarah who wakes up in a coffin on a research space station, and through the course of the game you discover the bizarre events that brought her there. Despite the horror-based nature of the game, its really easy to get lost in your desire to further what's happening.
One thing, though: if you can't stand disturbing images and short instances of blood and gore... don't play. You'll most likely puke. A lot.
And I will probably not every freaking sleep tonight after seeing one of the game's easter eggs... *shudder*
Anywho, I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet. :(
Mushroom Kingdom Fusion is basically this game that goes around various video game worlds as a group of well known video game characters (This includes; Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Samus, Roll, Wario, Kirby, Arthur, and Link), as they try to stop a group of bad guys who work for a man named Legion from taking over the various universes. The plot is well thought out IMHO.
The game is being made in GM7, and is being produced mainly by JudgeSpear, which most of you should know. The actual game is open for suggestions. They have a board in which you can suggest stuff to be added to the game; Of course, with regulations.
The current version is kinda dull, but so far the next update looks great.
Some videos to show you people that can't play it how it looks;
Also, for those people that want to play the Touhou Games;
I love how MKF combines so many game series perfectly.
And here M'aiq was expecting you to say that Sackboy should be in there. Yes. Can't help but get the feeling that Arthur will be a real pain to play as though. Maybe M'aiq is just overthinking it since G+G is a damn hard game, though.

Wasn't only the first one hard?
Beat Super Ghouls n' Ghosts and get back to us on that one.
