Also, the bias in this topic is so strong I actually do want to hurt some of the people spouting it.

Oi. A new 3D sonic is announced and almost everyone's like "OMFG, IT GUNNA SUK, SEGA GUNNA DAI OLOL". Seriously, there's always a chance that SEGA pulls their shit together and makes a decent Sonic game. Although it seems unlikely at theis rate, we never know. So shut up and try it. If it sucks, then you can either hope SEGA spontaniously combusts and magically ends up in hell, or they make a good game. =/ |

No, Secret rings was pretty good.
And even if it sucked, there's no way in hell it was worse than 2006. |

I'm glad some people agree with me. I liked Secret Rings, myself. And I learned, not too long ago that you CAN use the Wii Wheel to steer Sonic through the levels. I'm giving this Sonic Storybook Adventure a chance! Maybe the THIRD Sonic Storybook Adventure might take place in Japanese Mythology. |

I'm not even gonna buy Sonic Unleashed. I'm sick of that damn blue rat; I'll be too busy with LittleBigPlanet anyways. |

More info
NM sister mag Nintendo Power has revealed more details on Sonic And The Black Knight, the Wii sequel to Sonic And The Secret Rings.
This time the story has moved on from Arabian Nights to the legend of King Arthur. A sorceress called Merlina brought Sonic to the mythical world of the legendary 6th century king and he finds that the monarch has been corrupted and has started to rule the land as the tyrannical Black Knight.
Sonic will begin as a knave and he'll need to become a knight if he wants to defeat King Arthur. This means he'll need to master his new sword, a talking blade called Calibur.
Advertisement: Also, you can buy new swords from civilians and if you help them out in tasts, you'll earn knighthood points. Yet if you make civilians angry you'll lose reputation points at the end of the level.
Sonic And The Secret Rings only used the Wii Remote but this time you'll use the Nunchuk's control stick to move Sonic and then flick the to slash your sword. You can also thrust, parry, and do a buzz-saw move when you're jumping. In addition to the sword Sonic will also use magic elementals to jump or get a speed boost.
Nintendo Power also report that there will be online elements with players collecting up to 200 items in the game and trading them with friends. |

Hmm, I think sega can make this work. Being an Sonic fan my self *ignores people trying to kill him* I understand that as long as ceratian aspects in the games are unchanged the game will do fine. If the sword interfears with Sonic's speed then we'll have major uprore. However this seams to have been handled well and the controls should go smoothly. I like the Arthurian setting idea, haveing a fondness for the legand aswell ( yes I know, I'm a nerd, so are most of you). But the ranking sistem, helping people and gathering iteams I fear to much resimbles the Zelda series, and that might be problem. Other wise I hope the game goes well and isn't releast to soon. The idea seams intresting and shouldn't be to much of a let down. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to run from an angery mob.
Angery mob: "SONIC FAN DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" |
