If you have an HDTV, you can maybe convince them the PS3 will look much better and play BluRay movies. Also, few can resist the charm of Little Big Planet. |

Guys, don't even bother arguing, because the Wii is a perfect console sent to us from angels on high and has NO flaws whatsoever. I mean, you'd have to be STUPID to not like it, right? Besides, this guy's an absolute genius. |

VC will ail you if you get Wifi. Besides, You can sell your Gamecube if you have one, for some extra cash. The VC has many games difficult to obtain otherwise, and literally all 3 Paper Mario games can be obtained for the Wii. The Paper Mario series is one of my all-time favorites. It doesn't hurt at all that the VC has some of my other favorites than Paper Mario 1, and really, you can get an old game at ten dollars, Maximum, all on ONE single system. Sega games, Turbografix games, Nintendo games, There's a lot for the VC, and that's one of my favorite things. The internet, Character creator [Miis], News, Weather, and a large library of games to spend your time while taking a break from hardcore games, and as I said, Backwards compatibility with the Gamecube. Selling a Gamecube, if you have one, will be a help to buying the PS3.
Either that, or a PS3, sell your gamecube, and buy a Wii.
Or don't buy a wii, but the Wii, I must say, is the most versatile, yet weakest graphics of the 7th generation consoles.
My idea is that if you have a Gamecube, you get a PS3, as it is of higher value, Ask your parents if you can trade some of the junk you don't need and your Gamecube for a Wii, because you won't need the gamecube after you have the Wii.
Really, I love the Wii, but that's just me. |

The Wii isn't close to "versatile"- unless you meant something else. The PS3 is most likely the most versatile because of the way it handles updates and DLC. |

I, myself, was a large fan of the SNES, but that's because I had mostly SNES games 8 years ago, as a small, small child.
Who needs the gamecube? Buy a wii, there's tons of good games for the gamecube that no one bothered to play.
For starters, I enjoyed Chibi Robo for the console, although the first word makes me shudder in utter fear, due to personal reasons.
Chibi Robo, is one of the only games I ever played that would appeal to many audiences. It's not hardcore, no. But it's pretty damn immersive, if you ask me.
We obviously have the more-casual Wii games.
We also have the more in-depth Gamecube games.
Added with the spice that is Turbografix and Sega,
And games from many other nintendo consoles.
Long story short, Sell your gamecube already, and get a console that does all that and more.
Also, Tyler, By versatile, I mean it has what seems like a ton of uses, but the uses are occasionally nice, but mostly mediocre additions, like the photo channel, News channel, and Weather channel. As far as I know, this console has a large library, but a portion of it is third party garbage. |

The topic poster didn't ask for anti-Wii propaganda, he asked for which console. And yet, the unfriendly among us just CANNOT stop themselves from attacking the Wii. I tried to make clear how stupid that is.

You don't see anyone doing this for the PS3. And so what? I'm also quickly offended, I don't react to trivial matter like this. It's no excuse for your actions. I understand your dilemma. Either console has incredible features. But tell me, what is it that you like the most?
Let's start by the titles.
The Wii offers amazing adventures like Super Mario Galaxy and the Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess where the PS3 will amaze you with the action-rich Metal Gear Solid 4 and creative LittleBig Planet.
The Wii will prove it's power with Metroid Prime 3, while the PS3 offers you the possibility to play the award-winning GTA4.
While the Wii offers you the best view of the past with GameCube compatibility, and their huge range of Virtual Console games that lovers of classics dream about, the PlayStation shows you the future with gorgeous graphics and Blue-Ray DVD.
Where the Wii offers you the best hours of fun with friends and family from all around, the PlayStation 3 offers you the most fun with fellow gamers from all over the world.
Either console has downloadable content ( WiiWare, PSN ).
The Wii has the lowest price, but remember PlayStation 3's graphics and the fact that it's price tag suddenly seems a lot lighter when your remember it's BlueRay capacities.
Either console has oceans of extra possibilities.
Have I helped you weigh the facts objectively? Remember that, even if you're already getting a PS3, the Wii isn't mysteriously going to fade away from the stores. If you like, you can buy it later since it's a cheaper investment than the PS3. Remember that no choice is wrong.

No, but beside quickly offended, I'm also a lover of competitive discussions. I apologize honestly if I offended you in my anger.

There's also Final Fantasy Versus XIII coming out, which will be like an action-RPG, and a large number of great games coming out. |
