Honestly I am sick or
Mario
Luigi
Baby mario
Baby luigi
Ect
It is all just repeats, Hell, shouldn't be long before we see shadow baby luigi. I wat more charecters with more depth, like rosilina. Also, The stories, suck. The paper games had amazing stories (Well, to PM) Why don't they do that again, WHY IS IT ALWAYS GOOD STORIES AND NOT BOWSER IN ONLY THE RPGS

They need to better develop Mario. It's pathetic that the only Mario characters with less depth then Mario are the filler characters.(Baby characters, not counting Bowser Jr/Baby Mario, Waluigi, and in several cases, Daisy, but she has more character than Mario alot of the time)

Mario's an icon. He's just always him, Mario. There isn't supossed to be any depth to him. He's a "hero", and that's why he works. That's why his charm never dies: he can be whatever kind of hero you want him to be. And alone the way, we have all of these other characters that really express themselves well.

Unfortunately, this makes writing Mario fan fiction AS Mario a pain in the ass. Unless, of course, you're writing it from the Koopa bias, where he's a bumbling idiot. Then it's hilarious.

The Mario series is nearly as deep as the Legend of Zelda, and probably would be if Ganondorf wasn't the same guy every single game. Bowser's plots are slowly becoming more elaborate, yet always having the "kidnap the freakin' princess" theme. Count Bleck was a well-portrayed tragic anti-hero. Even Super Mario RPG had a lot of good dialogue and character. I don't know where you're coming from on this, MPGT. Mario Galaxy had a really in-depth story with an ending that made me think "...wow, what just happened?".

Of course, there's one thing I've wondered for a VERY long time:

If Mario can defeat an entire army, how come he can't beat two freakin' Piantas? I mean, he pwns, like, seven of them in Super Mario Sushine, yet he can't beat two at the very beginning? And yet he takes on Petey Piranha without breaking a sweat? Something's wrong with this picture...
