My computer is literally dying.
At first it was not very bad, just resetting itself once on startup and then working fine, but now it's starting to get worse. Just a moment ago I recieved the blue screen of death on startup - it said something about something not being BIOS compatible, and was the same error I've had on occasions where I have had to completely reset the computer. Also, when I started firefox, it began loading up lots of windows, all on my homepage - this also happens when my computer suffers extreme borkage. Firefox seems to also have lost my cookies - I came here to find I was logged out. Thankfully all my passwords were still there.
I'm gonna run a virus scan to see if there's anything killing my computer, or I may have to reset it completely soon - if I disappear for a few days my computer has officially died, but I have a spare one to use, so I should be able to still get on.
Besides what I've already suggested, has anyone else got any suggestions? |
