If there is one thing I absolutely loath about Kojima, it's that he can't stop jacking off to SNATCHER, Policenauts, and Zone of the Enders in everything that he does. Nearly EVERYTHING in Metal Gear is tied some way to Policenauts or SNATCHER, and Metal Gear Solid 4 is full of those. Here's a way to name a few...
- Meryl's *crag* name and appearance
- Ed and Jonathon in Rat Patrol 01
- Big Boss's "SNATCHER Limbs" that were replaced in Metal Gear 2
- Dr. Madnar
- Otacon has a Policenauts poster in Twin Snakes, a Policenaut desktop in MGS4, and there is a Policenauts poster again in the Big Shell. I had to idea the Russian Mafia was so found of Kojima!
Seriously, some developers just don't *crag* get it. Yeah, SNATCHER was awesome! Policenauts was kickass! Shut up about it, and actually do something original for once in your damn career! |
