The underlines aren't really important, because bowser isn't underlined, and that's all we need to know.


The koopa king is the heaviest, toughest, most damage inducing character in the game. He can deal up to 36 damage with that fully charged side smash of his, yet we all swarm around Ike? ORLY?

I personally think bowser is amazing. He can get a KO in, and he racks up damage at an amazing pace. But he can't recover.

What are YOUR opinions on the koopa king?

I find the statemant that he can't recover is wrong.

His side B can be used as a reluctant recovery if there's an opponent near you while you fall.
Whirling Fortress is actually pretty good once you time it right.

And people are swarming around Ike because damage dealing and flat out KOing are different.


Anyway, I find Bowser is weaker than most think.
He's epically screwed in stock matches where he has higher damage and one stock.
Mainly, if he uses his side be near the edge, and you're one stock above him.

He's not that bad to brawl with. He's slow, yes, but he's not as slow as Ganondorf, which is very good. He can also jump higher than Ganondorf, and he doesn't have a sword he doesn't use.

Bowser is somewhat balanced for a powerful character. He has good power, yes, but he also have average KO moves, decent recovery, and he's just a little lacking in attack speed and a bit lacking in Running speed.

His main disadvantage is being such a big target. It's hard to dodge attacks as him because of this.

As said before, Bowser is all about punishment rather than judgement. He's the biggest, baddest brute around, but he's no cold-blooded murdered (looking at you, DEDEDE). Bowser's supossed to use his one-shot moves to knock opponents away, then follow up with progressively more moves. I guess you could say that Bowser's fighting is more like an art than a game: you must weave together the perfect combinations to make him work.

Or just spam smash attacks and when you get knocked up high use the Bowser Bomb.

Giga Bowser, sadly, is one of the worse Final Smashes. I would've much rather seen Giga Bowser as an opponent in SSE. Bowser, while nicely buffed, still doesn't have as good of a chance to KO as other transformation final smashes, like Wario-man. AND he can still take damage, the only Final Smash that can actually take damage while executing. Crusher, Koopa Clown Copter, Koopa Troop, Airship Assault...Bowser has nearly unlimited recources to pull on, and he just transforms? Kind of sad.

I like Bowser, he's decently high up there on my mains list (think he's behind King Dedede or Mr. Game & Watch, though sometimes he can be better than them. Just all really depends on the day).
