Before anyone comes in here posting "LOL DILDOMON IS JUST A CHEAP KNOCKOFF OF POKEMON" or "Digimon sucks", I have to say the following first:
Digimon was actually in existance before Pokemon. And they are vastly different, in any case. Digimon is set in a digital world where young humans are sometimes whisked away to and they are paired up with usually just one Digimon and they go off to save the Digital World from Current-Evil-Force. And all Digimon can talk (with the exception of some Digimon whose minds are akin to animals or unfortunate Digimon that have been enslaved by Current-Evil-Force). Pokemon is the story of Kid-From-Small-Home-Town's journey across the known PokeWorld, catching every Pokemon including Legendaries, beating up Current-Evil-Organization (that abuses Pokemon without care or worry about any repriations), and defeating every single trainer, Gym Leader, and PokeMaster in existence.
Both of these summaries do not cover the entire game series, but they are close to home (or, actually, the anime, which in both cases, thanks to the stupid Funimation and shoddy dubbing, all generally suck, especially after the second seasons (or in Pokemon's case, the translated-anime always sucked)).
Back to the topic at hand: Digimon World Dawn / Dusk.
Digimon World Dawn is set in the "light" side of the Digital World. Digimon World Dusk is set in the "dark". Light-side Tamers seem to typically have vaccine-type Digimon. Dark-side Trainers, virus. The main teams, respectively, are Light Fang and Dark Claw. Both sides are at opposition of other another (in the tournaments and stuff), but the leaders seem to be on at least non-hostile terms. Reason why I say this is because whenever I talk to an NPC in ShineCity (the light-half city of the Digital World) badmouths the Dark Claws. I havn't played Dusk yet, but I have the feeling that the Light Fangs will get the same treatment.
So far, this game is rather enjoyable. Does anyone else have either Dawn or Dusk? |

I have neither. I kinda liked Digimon, though. Stingmon is a pretty cool looking guy. |

Don't have it, and probably won't be able to get it for a long time. Next Digi-game will likely be out by then.
I remember the good old days of Digimon World 1-3...
(Also, Blackwargreymon ftw ) |
