Looking For an Opponent. There are many games aside from SSBB and MKW which have online capabilities. We also do not wish for OVER 9000 threads of "I want to fight someone. Anyone wanna fight?".
I propose that Francis initiates an area (be it in the forum or in a separate function) whose purpose is to allow members to open (and close) their own 'looking for opponent' threads.
Basic layout: If in forum, it will have sub-forums dividing the topics into systems.
[LFO] *DS *X-Box / X-Box 360 *PS2/3 *Computer I don't know if the PSP is Online-capable. Mine has been missing in the house for years. o//o;
When you enter a sub-forum, you'll see games listed.
[LFO] -> [Wii] *Super Smash Brothers Brawl *Wii-Ware Games *Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games ect... Only games with VS capabilities will be included.
Upon clicking on a game, you'll find threads, but the content is different. They'll automatically post your already entered Game-info, if its in the Profile, and then the maker can expound on that.
[Mario Free-For-All!] [LFO] -> [Wii] -> [Super Smash Brothers Brawl] [Username] [Wiicode information] [Desired Timeslot, Desired Date] [Hi. Anyone up for a fight? Let's do a Mario-characters-only Team-match. Bowser and DK vs Mario and Luigi! I call dibs on Bowser!] When another person posts in reply...
[Mario Free-For-All!] [LFO] -> [Wii] -> [Super Smash Brothers Brawl] [Username] [Wiicode information] [Sure. I'll get on right away. Dibs on DK!] When the desired timeslot and/or date is over, the thread automatically closes. Or the maker can simply close it at any time -if- they are the last person to post. This prevents the following potential situation. "I wanna fight." "Sure (person the maker doesn't like but doesn't want to admit it)" CLOSED. |

I agree, we need something... but I think forum migiht not be the best solution.
I have a system planned that should be very hi-technicaaal. So you have your list of games you own, and you can check what online games you want to play right now. If someone is looking to play a game that you own, there will be a message or something at the top of the page. If they say they want to play, you are sent a PM and then you two work it out between yourselves.
So it requires 1) a catalog of games for all systems (maybe this can be user-submitited over time) 2) ability to select what games you have 3) a match-up alert system 4) ??? 5) Profit!!! |

Great! Naturally, multi-release games (such as, for example, the Mega Man Starforce games: Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon) would still 'match up', correct? |
