So, I've decided on getting the PS3 over the 360. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys. Anyways, before I go out and start buying, I need some advice on what to get etc. Please answer whatever questions you can. It would be greatly appreciated.

-What memory size should I get? I can only spend around 300 dollars for the system.

-What does the PS3 come with when bought?

-Earpieces. There's lots of 'em. What to buy, or does one come with the PS3 already?

-What else would you suggest buying upon getting the console?

-How does it hook up to the TV? Same as Wii, or more cables?

-Finally, how does internet work? Is it WiFi or do you need a cable?

If you could please answer whatever you can, I would be very grateful.

40GB is fine, and you can always upgrade it yourself later with any standard 2.5" harddrive.
Currently the base PS3 price is $400, unless you find a deal somewhere.

-What does the PS3 come with when bought?
both models come with regular composite cables (yellow, red, white) and wifi
$400 - 40GB - one sixaxis controller, 2 usb ports, backwards compatibility with PS1 games
$500 - 80GB - MGS4, one ds3 controller, 4 usb ports, CF/SD card readers, BC with PS1 and 80% of PS2 games, downloadable PAIN game

-Earpieces. There's lots of 'em. What to buy, or does one come with the PS3 already?
Does not include one. Any bluetooth headset should work. Some games include a headset, like Warhawk. The new SOCOM game is rumored to have a good headset included too.

-What else would you suggest buying upon getting the console?
Maybe an extra dual-shock 3 controller for two player games.
Download a bunch of demos Smile
Pick up a good cheap used game like Burnout Paradise, Unreal Tournament 3, Oblivion, or Warhawk.

-How does it hook up to the TV? Same as Wii, or more cables?
Same as Wii, except it also supports HDMI if you have it. If you have a HDTV, do not use the included composite cables.

-Finally, how does internet work? Is it WiFi or do you need a cable?
WiFi or cable.

Thanks a bunch. This'll really help. Now, I just have to collect the money and figure out where I'm gonna put the thing. D:

One more question. Can TF2 get updates on it, like the Flare Gun/Backburner etc?

No. I don't think Valve has any plans to bring new content to PS3 or Xbox. There is a rumor that they will release new content for consoles once ALL the new PC content is released... probably for a price.
