EDIT: I have tried 2 System Restores: One from earlier today and one from the 29th, when everything was working fine. N?either of these has helped me at all.

Francis has already tried to help me in the Cbox, but I may as well post it here too...

Recently, after Firefox automatically updated itself, I had to restart Firefox, but found that it did not work.
So I tried IE and Opera, but neither of those work, but I have no idea why.
I always get the error message saying something along the lines of 'IE cannot display the webpage'.

Somehow, MSN, Steam, etc. still work (on the internet), and Window's Diagnostic thingy says there is no problem with my connection.

The only way I can access digi is through the Winamp browser (!?), but I can still download things, etc.

Um, halp plx D:

Does your virus software block the programs? Sometimes, the virus software may block the programs, and as well as the firewall.

You may have to reinstall all of your browsers because I'm thinking that the new update for Firefox may have damaged a file that was used by all of the browsers.

I have checked all my virus/spyware-checking programs, as well as firewall(s?), and none of them have blocked any of the browsers.

I have also re-installed Firefox and Opera, but it hasn't helped at all...

AVG (anti-virus software) appears to have found many 'threats', but no virus' or spyware (although it may just be me interpreting this wrong).
'Coincidently', these threats are located under folders containing the web browsers' names in there somewhere. I'll continue to look for what these folders are.

Sorry for bumping, but this is really starting to get on my nerves.

I have run multiple spyware and virus checks (with Spyware Doctor and Norton) and have found (and 'healed') all threats.

I have tried directly transfering my Firefox folder from my other computer (where Firefox still works after installing the same update) and put it under a different name on this computer, but still no luck.

I have checked all my anti-virus/spyware/firewall software, and they all seem to allow my browsers, or not know about them at all.

As mentioned in my edit up thar: System Restore hasn't helped either, apart from 'uninstalling' the update that killed my browsers (although they still do not work).

From what I can tell, there is something targeting them in particular, although virus scans returned negative...

Any suggestions/browsers I should try?
