I used to think I was special.
I know everyone is unique or whatever, but I used to have this naivety that had me convinced that as long as I was smart and a nice person, nothing would ever happen to me. I'd always succeed and everything I did would be amazing and perfect and people would never be able to hate or hurt me. I'd get a dream life because I never wanted to do anything but excel and my best, which would, as a result of my passion, be THE best.
Then I started losing dozens of friends for no explainable reason, I got beat at things I cared about by people who weren't nice at all, and I made awful mistakes no matter how hard I tried not to.
And now...Well, if things will never be what I dreamed for them to be, is there really a point to try making them that way, now that I know I'll always fail? |

As far as I know, everyone hits a wall sometime in their youth. The naive dreams of yesteryear fade, friends leave, everything crumbles around you. It's very painful, evil, and has made me lose faith in humanity. However, I will simply state this: it will pass. So you're more mature than your peers, so what? So you don't really want to fight back and hurt anyone, so what? Think of it this way: they're so pathetic and inferior, they have to pick on you (possibly the weakest person you think you know even thought I know that's not true, you know? Know what, I doubt you could've followed that. xD) in order to give them the naive sense of superiority. So therefore, they aren't any more mature than children, while you're growing into an adult. Even some "adults" still live in those "glory days", and they...they really sicken me. Like my 50 year-old aunt. >.<
The reason that you should continue is the reason why everyone else should continue: there's a brighter future for the much better path. Though it's a bit rocky, you're taking that path...so, no matter how many rocks pierce the bottom of your feet...please, continue. |

But it'll still never be like I always wanted it to be. I built everything I worked for on that want.
Pardon the cliched statement, but everything I know is a lie. |

From whose standpoint? Where is it defined that something is impossible? Getting computers the size of TV Dinner trays would've been considered impossible as soon as 50 years ago, but now we have laptops. You can make it rain gravy for all I care if you want. Nothing is impossible or illogical. Do some things take more effort than others? Yes. But, every single element on the planet Earth can be changed.
Your life is only a lie if you choose for it to be a lie. |

I didn't CHOOSE for it to be anything bad. I'm unable to stop the fact that bad things will happen to me even though I try to be a nice person. In fact, they're MORE likely to happen, because nobody gives a *crag* about nice people anymore. My best possible outcome in life is being shot execution-style to make an example before the youth of America or something.
Oh, forget it. |

Alright then. Take a different path. Take a detour. Make a satellite cannon and return this miserable planet to order.
There are some things we can't control, and there will ALWAYS be something that inhibits us from reaching our dreams. But...sometimes, we just have to hold those dreams close to comfort us through all of that pain.
But...I guess...meh...the world's becoming slowly more hopeless. I'm just going to keep on trying. And if I die, I'll be dying for what I believe in. |
