Quote: | The newest Mario Kart Wii tournament was only released a couple of days ago and already players have managed to hack themselves to the top, sporting outrageous times such as 0.004 and 0.609 seconds. Hardly subtle.
In the newest tournament players have to race Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong on the Jungle Parkway track whilst having to dodge a considerable amount of bananas being thrown by the opponents. Obtaining a fast time under these conditions would be quite a feat, so obviously many games were saddened by this unexpected hacking incident. The tournament started August 1st and will end August 10th.
This wasn’t the first time online Time Trials were hacked. In April people managed to cheat their way into the Time Trials top ten also. Of course Nintendo rectified the issue as quickly as possible then, and are expected to apply the same resolve this time. It’s still a shame though, that these people enjoy ruining the online game experience. |

Have you even wondered why so many of the Top 10 players in each tournament and Time Trials catagory have been from Japan? Does getting the game three weeks early give them THAT big an advantage???
And why would someone wanna h4xx0r this game anyway? I don't think they ever made an Action Replay for the Wii... Did they? |

Well, I did the tourney yesterday, and I saw that they've removed the h4xx0rs' times, including Mr. Cheating World Record 00:00.001. My best time on the Zip Zip was 3:10.853. |

Uh, thanks for that comment, Yoshi. Now moar players are gonna be haxx0rs on the tournaments! But I don't think they'll ever try to hack Time Trials. Because the world record ghost can be raced against or replayed. |

I hate those damn hackers. If I could hack somehow, I would go for the fun cheats, not the cheats that make you win all the time. |

Yeah, or infinite Mega Mushroom time! I'd love to speed around the entire course, flattening Goombas and racers alike. Not to mention, the voice for a mega-sized Mii sounds much better than normal-size. |
