Something I suggested to Hario over SL and we kinda built on the idea.
Just a tiny ripoff of Kingdom of Loathing. Trophies would be rewarded when you, well... Achieve something. Some could be given to multiple people (Eg. have a certain amount of posts), while other would be 1 person only (Eg. Highest post count out of all members). Along with the display in your profile, they'd have a passive effect that, well... Affects you.
Most trophies would have to be bought to recieve their effects, but a few (With negative effects) would be forced upon you.
A few examples I thought of.
Necromancer: Have the highest rate of necroposts. Lose double coins when necroposting. (Forced)
Off-Topic Addict: 20000 or more posts in Off-Topic and RPOT combined. Recieve double coins for posts outside those forums.
Fingertip hater: Launch at least 30 fireworks within a month. Fireworks cost 2-3 MP each.
Respected senior: Be a member for more than 1 year. Recieve 50% more score for posts.
1-up: Have more than 1 million points. 1-up mushrooms are 25% cheaper.
Hoarder: Bank storage is full, with only collectable items. Recieve 5 extra inventory slots.
And something from Hario
Pime Taradox: Be Freezing and Burning at the same time. Freezing and burning items are cheaper to buy.
Things like that. Comments/suggestions/feedback/FARGHJSFJ and all that? |

You get 100 score for each post, as well as some for using items and stuff.
You get points for almost anything, and they're pretty much useless.
Points, not posts. |

Support'd. I also have ideas for Trophies:
Flameman: Get involoved in a flame war three times in a month. All Fire-type attacks done to you do double damage.
Petty Cash: Have under 100 coins total in the bank and on hand. Gives 1% daily interest on coins in the bank until your total coins exceed 100. Would help n00bs get some coin.
Brawl N00b: Get pwn3d by three or more items from the Smash Dojo shop in one week. Items used on yourself don't count. Lets you buy items from the Smash Dojo at half price.
Honorary Moderator: Report five incidents to the mods. Gives you double coins and double points for a week. The reports must not be false, or you will become inelegible for this. NOTE: This Trophy does NOT give any moderator powers!
Shayde Lover: Get sent to The Underwhere twice in a month, or be stuck down there for two weeks. Gives you a free life when you return. |
