Kammy returned to her personal study (which one could almost also call her office. She had gotten a new crystal ball from a former adventurer who was selling a fair number of rare or expensive items for cheap.

"Best deal I ever gotten on a crystal ball." she happily mused to herself as she placed it on the stand. Her old crystal ball had... well, let's just say that a naughty prince stole it and played with it like a beach ball near the lava river.

However, Kammy did not know that this item was in truth a crystal hypnosis ball. It was similar to a crystal ball, but it didn't really allow the user to scry. What the user saw was actually an illusion which occurs as a powerful wizard, lich, or extra-dimensional being implanted a command in the would-be scryer's mind. The victim is never aware of the truth, and further use of the crystal hypnosis ball brought the person further under the foreign entity's control.

It is important to note that, outside of this function, the crystal hypnosis ball and the crystal ball are nigh-impossible to tell apart, even by the most skilled of magic-casters. Only if one knows what to look for as the victim uses the ball can it even be detected.

And this was what Kammy was about to use to scry with...

"Sis? Am I interupting anything? I just need to discuss something important."

He walked away from Kammy's Study to head back to his room.

Suddenly, a vision of the future appeared before Kammy.

((I don't know if this is possible, so, I'll wait to describe it until you say it is or isn't.))

((It is possible, however anything seen in the crystal hypnosis ball is either not really going to happen or is what the entity wants the person to see. Think of how Denethor saw the future in the Palantiri, but it was corrupted a bit so that he thought he was seeing an ill future.))

Kammy focused on the vision...

The vision was of a desolate land. Once tall and strong buildings were burnt to the ground.

There was no sign of life, except for two being.

At the center of all the destruction was Kammy, and Kamek. Kamek was covered in blood. A wild look in his eyes.

Kammy was are her knees, apparently begging to Kamek about something.

Kamek pretended not to notice, and in one swift movement, Kammy was decapitated by a magic cutter spell of sorts.

The scene faded, as Kamek turned to face the Kammy watching the ball. He laughed wildly.

I don't care if this is supposed to be a fake illusion or whatever. Kamek and some of my other characters are being viewed negatively and literally used as targets BY NEARLY EVERYONE when I'm trying to give them a damn break. Same goes for characters that are important to my alts. They are being used so I have to force myself to jump into plots that I have little to no interest in.

You all are just inches away from me quitting role-playing. I am now starting to really hate it.))
