I've seen it done on other forums, but I'm not exactly sure how. Basically, whenever a member clicks the "quote" button, it would only copy the text below the previous quote. So, for example:
Francis wrote: | Hi-Technicaaal! |
If a person quoted this post, they would only see:
Francis wrote: | Hi-Technicaaal! |
And not my quote. Does that make sense? |

Yes it does, it'd probably help the site too but it would ruin the fun of quote pyramids but whatever, I guess it's a good idea. |

Kind of like when you quote a person who posted something in tags, the tags disappear leaving just the URL. I've seen it done too, and it'd be good here.
@Zant: Quote pyramids would still be do-able, but you can't just click the quote button and have it be done. You'd have to manually type out any quotes insde of the quoted post. Ex:
Koopa Troopa posts "green slushie lol".
Mario quotes him and adds "green koopa slushie lol".
RAINBOW YOSHI quotes him and adds "poison green koopa slushie lol". However, his post only has Mario's quote in it, so he manually adds: Code: |
green slushie lol
| into Mario's quote. |
