As I said, compare them in the YC of the Week thing. They are VERY different. The hair, the face, most things, really. the second was based off of the first.

Thicker hair and beard/stache, 2 fissures, bigger horse, VERY different wave, bigger eyes, bigger and thicker nose, More ruffled hair, hair over ears, hair drooping over shoulders, bigger and darker eyebrows, detail on column is different, boulders flying in the air and falling, lighter colored wave, colored pencil instead of watercolor, less texture in the beard and hair, more of a sunburn, and a crapload of tiny things

Anyway, it is not good, but it is better than your first. Try adding in some facial "lines" and "wrinkles," as well as additional shading to help "bring out" the facial expression. I suggest using a photo reference to help provide additional detail to future works. : )
