DRWN PIC TOMORROW MAYBEE

TFC Civilian

Bobble-Head from meet the Sniper

The Civilian is a support class based upon the VIP from Team Fortress Classic. He is a short, round man that always dresses for success. With his stylish gray suit, the only way to identify what team he is on is by the appropriate tie he wears to complete his business apparel. Sentires choose to ignore him, as this small pudgy simply does not seem worth the time or ammo. His arsenal also fits his attire, some hi-tech weapons that are adept at both combat and practical filing and organizational purposes. He is mainly a support class adept at distraction and panic. Send him into battle when you need to get the defense off guard long enough for the rest of your team to make their move.

WEAPONS:

MEGAPHONE: As the Civlians main piece of equipment, the Megaphone has unlimited ammo and several uses.

It's main fire sends out a shrill "HELP!" that draws the reticles of all enemies within range. Using this technique, you may be able to distract your opponents long enough for that Spy to get a backstab or your Demoman to clean up an Engie's equiptment. Be wary though, this will also draw the attention of all hostile sentries in range, and they won't stop shooting at you until you are out of range. Also be aware that the skill has a long recharge time, meaning that you must back sure your team is ready when you choose to pop it out.

The secondary fire of the Megaphone sends out a "All Clear!" with deafening confidence. The enemy in your reticle will take a 180, and face the other direction. This may just give you enough time to retreat while after using primary fire. This skill also has a length recharge as well, though not as much as the primary fires.

SHOTGUN: This is the standard medium range weapons carried by Soldiers Engineers, and Heavies. It does a good deal of damage, and all in all is a fairly good weapon to have with you while on the run.

UMBRELLA: The classic Civilian item returns! The Umbrella is a versatile weapon that is great for the accountant on the go. With secondary fire, the Civilain can open up the umbrella for a few short seconds to block an incoming attack. Unlike the Pyro's air blast though, it does not deflect rockets back and has unlimited ammo. Thankfully the Civilian only has 125 health though, so a few good hits should be enough to take him down.

When not cowering behind it, the Umbrella can also be used for offense. Unlike other melee weapons, it can kill in a single hit, but only when it crits. It is a rare event for this to happen, as the Umbrella crits less than any other weapon in the game, but it is said to be a sight to behold. Due to the Civilian's fast moving speed however, on par with the medic, it can still be used effectively in combat much like the Scout's bat.

I like the idea of a class that combines the Stealth of the Spy with the distraction aspects of the Scout. I think that I've balanced it pretty well into the current roster, though I may tweak it a little later.

Good idea, the megaphone is really creative.

I hope the last Class Update is one with the Civilian Class if they do what you said...

The megaphone would be fun for griefing. Just walk in a large group of teammates, then spam HELP! until you all get killed. It could have some creative uses, though, like ubering a civillian to distract a sentry and some enemies long enough for some Pyros and Heavies to get in close range and wreak havoc.

I should probably have added something like "Sentries shoot you if you attack them." And maybe the Pyro's flames would show up just like if one of your teammates was one fire.

Umbrella: Left click, the umbrella floats up and you can float arround for a short period. Right click, the reflector. You already described that one.

I know it's a game, but still, using an umbrella to float? no.

I was thinking about floating, but he would be such sniper bait.

Also that would make his Shotgun his only attack weapon, and I want the umbrella to be his primary defense due to his ability to draw enemies toward him, his fast movement speed, and the chance of an instant kill.
