Clamburg was a pretty run-of-the-mill town. Kind of bland, actually, and rather small. There was only one school, an old-fashioned water tower, a playground, and...not much else, except for a large stone pedestal in the middle of town, as if something had once stood there...
The sky was blank and light gray. The streets were empty. It looked like no one had been around in quite a while- which was just a case.

Because, you see, one thing was NOT ordinary in Clamburg.
And that thing was Vendetta.
For years, the tiny green tyke and her army of fiendish...er, fiends had plagued the town, forcing the inhabitants to do their bidding. It had seemed endless, until a certain over-cheerful blue girl moved in from Vermont and ended up 'prettying' everything in town with one of Vendetta's fiend-making concoctions. The very buildings had attacked the citizens, who fled in a boat, never to return...

...The lights are on in a building down the street. Will you approach?

Owl nervously walked down the streets, his shades put up on his head and using his nocturnal vision to the best of it's ability. He could see nearly everything clearly as if it was daylight, but walked with his hands in his pockets and looking quickly at anything that made the slightest sound.

With Owl's heightened senses, he would notice that the buildings all seemed a little...unsteady.

...Wait, what were they even doing around? They had supposedly run off months ago, but...no, here they were, looking as normal as ever, although the ground around them looked recently disturbed.

But there was practically no movement, save for litter blowing in the alleys...

Owl moved away from the buildings from the sidewalk, walking in the middle of the road and going a little bit slower to analyze things a little more.

Every now and then, there was a small vibration, as if something very large, very far away, was breathing...

The lit building was closer now. A sign read 'Clamburg Elementary School'.

Owl stopped every time at the vibration, remaining still for a few moments but moving again slowly after it stopped. He walked towards the Elementary school, pulling himself over the small gate and into the playground.

"Is that... a giant block of cheese?"

The Chao received no reply. As I said, pretty much deserted around here.

The cheese...thing...just sat before Owl. Being cheesy.

"Eee..."

He walked past the Cheese, watching it as he reached the fourth school room.

*began to follow Owl, seeing how he's the only thing living as far as he can see*

Both Owl and the Chao would soon hear a few noises from room 4, even though it looked empty...

"Wah..."

"Th-This is scary..."

"My mommy...I want her..." ;;

"What hath we done to incur the wrath of such an unholy wench?"

"N-N-N-Now, now, children, calm down..."
