Role Play is when you act like a character either from a TV show or an original character. You don't have to do it if you want though.

Fist off, it's Role Play, not Rool Play.

Second, it's where you take on the persona of other people/characters. Then, you create plots with other people. They are like stories, only you are one character, and decide their actions. Basically, everyone controls one character, and then you make a story. Sometimes these plots are headed by a "Plot Leader", who has already come up with a timeline of events, and wants to act it out with other people controlling the other characters.

Anyway, Role playing is when you pretend you're a character from a game, anime, show, movie ect, or one of your own characters (called OCs, short for Original Character) and you play as them. It's sort of like... playing games, like children would do.
... Although, it's different in some ways.

Role-Playing is the act of taking upon the moniker of a character and creating works of entertaining literature while doing so- sort of like how you act when you're playing DND (Of course, without all the stats n' junk.)

Traditional Role-Playing, Hardcore Roleplaying, or Creative Role-Playing- where you create your own character and a completely original plot for that character- is virtually nonexistant on digibutter, save for a few exceptions.

Fan Role-Playing, Casual Role-Playing, or Pseudo Role-Playing are far more common- this is where one acts like their favorite videogame or movie character.
