Alright, Bears have much room for discussion, For example my bear named button he is a big brown bear, and yeah.. Soo we just discussed a bear amirite? Soo.. I just discussed a bear.. Now tell me how a bear is not discussion. |

You are completely correct. Before a discussion can really start, you need to kick it off. "Oshit, it's a bear" will just spawn posts like "OMG Get in the car" and other spam. |

Still, the post looks like spam. There's LITTLE room for discussion. If you wanted a serious discussion about bears, you wouldn't post it in Off Topic with the opening post saying "Oshit! It's a bear". A "Zoo" topic like that wouldn't work; it may cause a fad and possibly a flood in OT, though, which is not good. |

Exactly.
Spam is rather pointless, but a lot of people fail to realize what spam REALLY is. If you just post a simple two-five word phrase, and then a little picture, it's simply spam. If you want to be random, without being "spammy," then at LEAST post something better than an internet fad phrase, right?
