Mod is not God With a M.

With great power comes great responsibility however I don't agree with Every action of every moderator, Particularly on the issues of an "Unfair Sticky" Something a regular member would post that gets special treatment because a "Mod Said So."

Stickys are eyesores(in my opinion) and apparently have "special rules" I for one think that the main populous should be able to Overturn, said "unfair stickys" Particularly deciding the validity of the topic of said sticky.

Can We As users report the said topic as an unfair sticky? and have it challenged to be unsticked? and if not shouldn't we have some say in said matters?

I just think if Mods want to make a sticky to get a point across, they should just keep it locked so there won't be spam problems.

While you have a valid point, I disagree with it.
The mods have their reasons, though i'm not saying we can't question them. It's jsut should we publicly question them and make a fuss about it instead of simply PMing the mod a question about why they put a Sticky up?

I'm not trying to be rude, but just hear me out.

Just a comment on the third paragraph, sticky or not, she would have been striked. I pointed out in the topic you linked that it violated THREE sections of the rule against spam.

In addition, why not just revoke all our powers? We don't have to come to the users about the creation of stickies, that defeats the purpose.

The mods simply have too much power, and aren't aware of how to use it.

Take away strikes is what I say.

If a member acts up, give them a warning.

If they continue, give them another warning and alert Francis of their behavior in the mod forum.

if they still persist, jail them or ban them.

It's quite simple.

All our problems come from strikes, so eliminate the problem.

Also mods don't need stickies.

All the same, would you have cared if it wasn't your precious sticky?

Really I understand you need to have your voice heard as authority. I'm not questioning that, I'm questioning what you choose to voice. It seems to me that a majority of your stickys in particular have a league of personal Involvement mainly someone flaming YOU in particular. Instead of privately dealing with those in question you throw it to the public playing victim, (with unfair attention) Rallying support, as a victim. To the point of publicly humiliating those opposed to you. This Just seems unfair.

I do see where you're coming from, but it's not a matter of what would have happened if it wasn't a sticky, it's a matter of what DID happen. You can't make an assumption. And it's a bit hard to find an issue when you aren't involved.

But okay, we'll try the method presented in this thread and see how it works.
