They're the best chips I've ever tasted! The reason this is in GD is because if enough people want me to, I'm going to share the recipe for them. (I'll edit it into the first post) They're really good, so I'm wondering, do you want me to post the recipe?

EDIT: Here's the recipe.

First, you need:

•However many potatoes you want, but they have to be medium or large, and they MUST be skinned and washed
•1 liter of vegetable oil
•A vegetable slicer
•A large, THICK cooking pot
•A cutting board
•Salt (or whatever other seasonings you want)
•A plate and a lot of paper towels
•A larger plate or bowl
•A slotted spoon

Ok, now here are the steps

1: Slice the potatoes with the vegetable slicer. This may take a while, and it may not. It depends on how fast you are and how mice you want your chips to look.
2: Make sure the oil isn't too hot. Put one slice in to test. If it comes out nicely in about 2 minutes, then the oil is god.
3: Put in each slice one by one, but be sure not to put in too many, or they'll be cooking at different rates, and you'll have SOME good chips, but also a lot of burnt ones and a lot of undercooked ones.
4: Stir with the slotted spoon until the chips are all hard, golden brown, and there are very few bubbles left
5: take the chips out, and put them on the smaller plate that has 2 paper towels on it.
6: Season while they're still hot
6: Move them to the larger plate/bowl and put 2 new apaer towels on the smaller plate.
8: Repeat with next batch

This will require trail and error, but it should turn out well after a few tries. (2-4)

They should be about this color:

Anyways, I'm not much of a cook, either, but that really does sound good. Home made potato-chips. Yeah...

You sound like one of those newbs on their first few days.

There's no point to the topic if none of us want you to post the recipe, or something, so you may as well save the time, and post the recipe.
