Monkey: Journey to the West is a play, created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett of Gorillaz fame, along with actor and director Chen Shi-zheng. As the name suggests, it is a retelling of the 16th century Chinese novel, Journey to the West.
I haven't seen it yet, since it hasn't shown anywhere near Seattle, but after listening to the soundtrack, I'd really like to.
