The other day, my dogs got in a fight. Now, they do this a lot, but it's pretty rare for them to actually hurt each other. But Jack, the smaller of the two, suffered a painful-looking injury to his eye. It started leaking pus today, so I took him to the vet.
He's going to be fine, though. His eyelid and the surrounding area were damaged, but the eyeball itself was not. The vet gave me some antibiotics to put on and around his eye, and some pills to help fight off infection and reduce pain. He should look better in a couple of days, but right now it's pretty disgusting...
See for yourself.
You're probably all grossed out now, so here's a picture of my kitty to make you feel better.

Jack's starting to look better. His eye is still pretty red and swollen, but the pus-leaking seems to have stopped. Hooray! |
