I had a breakdown earlier today. My dad exploded at me and blatantly told to my face that he thought I was stoned all of the time, and that I did drugs. I don't blame him, though, because I drove him to the edge by being an ignorant asshole with an attitude all of the time.
After I went inside, I went into the bathroom and halfway through washing my hands I just collapsed on the floor and had a massive anxiety attack. I couldn't stop hyperventilating, my fingers locked together and I couldn't move them, and a million thoughts were kicking me in the groin at once. I began punching myself in the wrist, ending up in a massive bruise and a nearly-fractured left hand. After that, though... I took my shaving razer and began cutting my arm. My dad came in while I was doing this because of how loudly I was crying and gasping in there, and he sat me down on the couch and I told him why I was feeling so bad. I asked if I could go to counseling again, and he said I could. I don't know what got over me. One second I was on the floor, and the next I was sitting on the toilet seat and slicing my razer against my arm.

Well, my dad has become extremely helpful since it happened. He explained to me that our family has a history of anxiety, and he told me some basic things to do if it happens again before I get to talk to somebody.
Hopefully I get a half-competent counselor this time who I can actually talk to... But I'll remember that, Poison. Thanks. |

Glad you're okay now... And I hope you do get a decent counselor. If you've got the right person there for you, things'll be easier.

It wasn't "insanity", it was common anxiety. I've had hyperventilating issues in the past, and my family has a history of anxiety. |
