So, I'm reading tutorials on colouring, anatomy notes, shit like that and everything right now. I've wanted to move away from anime/manga art for a while now, and I'm sorta... stuck between realism and anime when it comes down to me drawing things seriously.
Not that I don't like drawing in anime/manga style; it's simplistic, and allows you to convey emotion through your pictures with little to no effort whatsoever.
I have my own art style, but it's not quite what I want.
So, I'm going to try and meld more realism into my art and colour it in a more realistic sense than the "cutey anime style".
Yeah... :\
So, any suggestions on tutorials? Or do you think there's another art style that would help me get to that sort of original art style I want? |

I'm going through phases of UBER SURREALISM and UBER ANIMU. D: But lately it's been going toward surrealism, which is what I want. :) |

It's good that your art is going in the direction that you want. c:
I'm trying for a more stylized realism... style. I was making a picture and it was going well, then it didn't turn out how I wanted it, so I killed it. *hiss* |
