That records in an easy to use format? I wanted Camtasia, but I can't get a free code, and I don't wan to buy it...... Any suggestions? |

Screen Recorder Gold is the one I use. It gets the job done, and it can do it pretty well if you know how to use it right (it doesn't skip and shit like Hyper Cam does).
You'll have to find an activation code and stuff off YouTube if you actually want it to work, though. |

The easiest free one to use that lacks teh watermarks would be CamStudio. The only problems I've had with it is that it lags with fullscreen emulators, and you can't have it record both stereo input and microphone input, you have to choose one or the other. It's why I gave up on the MMX playthrough, becuase I had to watch myself play it afterwards and give dull, bored commentary. |

Just raise the stereo volume just enough that your mic catches it. That's what I do, since my Mic is USB. |

Thank you for putting this question on Digibutter. I also wanna know a way to record the screen only when I'm gonna begin with let's plays on Youtube. A way to record onscreen with a mic to talk into when I'm playing. |
