A long time ago, my mom and I picked up a trilogy of books entitled the City of Ember, the People of Sparks, and the Prophet of Yonwood. All of which I found to be very awesome.
Then I heard that they were making a movie of the Ember book around my birthday. I hoped to go see it...until I saw the trailer.
THEY GAVE AWAY THE BIGGEST *crag* SPOILER IN THE BOOK IN THE FIRST SENTENCE, AGH.
Now no one who likes the movie can go to research the book, and again the media is dumbing down audiences by robbing them of suspense...And it looks like they just replace the huge mystery of Ember with some lame sewer monsters. Bah humbug.
(I'm leaving out the spoiler so that hopefully some of you buy the actual books and find out for yourself, lolz.) |

I read the City of Ember, and god I felt the same way when the media spoke about it.
"The City of Ember is a movie set in an underground city..." |

It looks interesting, but I don't care if I hear spoilers. I usually like it anyways. |

I read the City of Ember a while ago, and I liked it, and I think they should actually start making movies that MATCH the story. |

I loved City of Ember, and I was very excited to hear about the movie. Wait... there was a sewer monster in that book? I don't remember that. o.o |
