Since yesterday, my computer started to make a really weird scratch sound everytime I try to listen to music or watch YouTube videos. By the way, the scratch sound happens on the computer itself and when I plug in my headphones.

I tried restarting the computer. No change. I turned the computer off multiple times. Nothing. I smashed my laptop against my desk. It kind of worked for about an hour, but the sound only went back to being scratchy. I deleted useless files and pictures. It kind of worked. VirusScan? *crag* that. Didn't even detect anything bad in the computer.

Also, when I notice that it's making a scratch, my computer seems to be horribly lagging. No idea why. I do not use up so much memory but it still lags like hell. When I tried to reboot the computer this morning after fixing the sound and lag problem last night... it only went back to being extremely laggy and screwed up sound.

So... I dunno if any of you guys went through something like this, but... I need desperate help with this issue.

Hmm.... If the computer itself is making the noise, then perhaps its something within the computer. There could be a wire loose that connects the headphone jack to the mobo. If there is another headphone port, try it. Also: make sure that the drivers are working properly (Go to Device Manager and if there is a yellow circle with an exclamation point in it, right lock and hit install driver.)

Thats all I can think of for right now.
