When I posted the idea for clubs, I had other details that were ignored. And yes, groups were my idea.

1: Fees. Raise price to make group, this should get rid of the spam groups. Then a set joing fee. You earn that money. Or no fee for joing if you want to set it that way. This provides more ways to sped and earn your coinage.

2: Private. This way only you and members can see topics.

3: Orginozation. Its getting annoying having to guess what group that topic is in. It would be nice if they were orginized ether like this,

We have already discussed fees in groups, and it has been overall established that it is a bad idea to do so.

Second of all, private groups have already been made.

Third, it has been suggested that there be some sort of organization be made. The By Group method would contain many old topics, and there wouldn't be any way to dictate which groups are in which order. I'd suggest (And have suggested before to Francis) to make group icons show up next to the topic, to differentiate the topics in Your Groups.
