You guys may remember me posting the first level loooooong ago? Well, I've worked long and hard, then procrastinated, then quit, then procrastinated some more, then worked on it again, and procrastinated even more, and then worked hard on it again and I've got the first level down. There are probably a ton of glitches and such, so lemme know if you see em. I am open to suggestions as well.
Without further ado, here is my flash: http://www.freewebs.com/brentronindustries/spedwaybeta.htm
NOTE: If you are using a widescreen moniter, press F11 on the page if anything gets cut off.
Oh, and for luls, heres the old and cruddy version: http://www.freewebs.com/brentronindustries/level1.htm |

While your prowess as a programmer certainly does shine through, the art could stand to be vastly improved upon. |

I can't draw for *crag*, yet I love to draw. To be honest, I hate programming, but I only like it because I can bring my drawings to life. Thats why I went from pen and paper drawing, to using the tools that flash gives me to create a style so simple, its different. Thanks for your input!

What the hell? How the hell do I get past anything? There's nothing I can do to get over the Stack o' Taxes or the wall at the house

I noticed that at some ramps, i.e. the hills, you had to jump up them as opposed to walk/run up them. Perhaps making them a little less steep would avoid this problem.
Although I realise this is a work in progress and you have the basics sown (running, jumping, differences when in water), the actual level needs to have... something in it, i.e. platforms, obstacles, enemies (which are hopefully as wacky as the character).
Great start, but, of course, needs expanding upon. |

In the new version, is there a way to get past the big gray wall?
If not, then great job so far. It's a lot nicer-looking than the original. |

This level is basically a "get used to the character" level, before there are any monsters or obstacles.

fall down the spikes. and what software did you use to make it. | The wall at the building does nothing, it is the end for now, I still have to make the inside of the house and all that. I used Flash CS3 to make this.

Thanks! |

Wow, that's looking awesome so far. The programming is quite nice... I like how you went as far to throw in cutscenes. |

Big Grey Wall is now a fad.
When someone posts a stupid topic, instead of saying No, post a pic of a big grey wall.
