I encountered a strange glitch the other day.
I was playing Pokemon ruby attempting to catch regirock with this team.
-registeel, lv.40?
-forgot this one
-blaziken? forgot lv.
-oddish, lv.27? FNT.
-forgot EDIT lv.55 gardevoir
-rayquaza, forgot lv.
i was eventually tired of trying to catch him over and over again, so i left the desert ruins and flew to petal burgh to heal my Pokemon and switched my oddish with my registeel and went to the water that was west of the city and ran to the beach.
now here is where things get weird, I accidentally talked to the boy running in circles like an idiot, then tried to interact with the ocean, just to find out I had no Pokemon that could surf. so I went to the Pokemon screen to use fly, just to find that my oddish turned into a bad egg. it was still holding the item it had before (focus band). so i checked its summary and then hit "B". then the game froze. so I reset the game an flew to dewford to check to see if all my Pokemon were okay. so I saved in front of the PC, but the game froze halfway. then everything functioned normal afterwords.
Note: i have never used game shark or cheats.
also: what is a bad egg? and how do you get it without cheats?

Bad eggs, apparently, are eggs that will never hatch.
They are triggered by cheats, so there's no way to get them without cheating. |

My best pokemon were turned into bad eggs without cheating one time. |

Bad eggs are received by leaving an egg inside the PC for a long time, OR cheating. |

How can you not remember your 6-Pokemon party? It's 6 Pokemon, not 600...
