Its Mom's birthday, I woke up completely the wrong way on bed (feet on pillow, for a clue), and when I was getting the camera, she started to get upset (read: angry) because of a mixup. She then started going on about how all she wanted was for her not to have to yell today, but I didn't do anything! >_o;

My gift for her is in the kiln getting bisque-fired so that's not gonna be good (I explained that to her already anyway...)

I'm half-asleep and was being blinded in class thanks to the bright projecter. Not better now.

Oofph.

Well, here's hoping you survive your mother's birthday encounter?

I can probably see why she's upset; It's her birthday, she probably wants things to pass smoothly on a day that just started off wrong. She may have even expected her family to give her the whole worship-for-a-day treatment, like breakfast in bed, a constant stream of compliments, etc. From what you say though, I doubt the latter and only included it for your self-amusement...hopefully.

Well, hopefully she calms down and starts to relax. In my experience, my mother is always cranky on her birthday. :<

She knows she has grown older and closer to the age where things must die.

Adults tend to try and slow the aging but are unable to stop it nor slow it.

Perhaps what I say is true, or perhaps not. Only others can say if what I say is true.

Vaati: I understand but when she said how old she'd be,I was completely surprised. She doesn't look that old, in fact she looks just about the same as when I was little.

Maiq: Yeah. I know, but the breakfast in bed is out of the question as she's up by 5 or 6... Compliments I was to make but the reaction kind of made me do nothing but tear up... I asked my superviser if I could get out of work 30 minutes early and she said yes, so I have the time to go get mom a cake from the Whole Foods near campus. :3
