Define "Reboot". It can mean one of many things. The 2 most common.

1: The process of "force-feeding"(Press and Hold the Power Button Until it Turns Off) the comp, so as to get it to shut down to protect data in case of a freeze.

2: Uninstall everything, service the comp(via professional), then reinstalling everything.

Is it one of the 2 above?

No, I don't think so. My dad used the Windows XP disc and installed it again and leaved the other version behind, since it was too *crag* up.
We made up new users and reinstalled everything. I did much of the installation though. Laughing

I really wouldn't suggest doing this (at least, not on your own). Surely there must be another solution?
For example, from time to time, random applications start screwing up on my computer. I use System Restore which, effectively, turns the settings, etc. back in time.
I would try that first if I were you.

What Elzilcho said. Try System restore First, and if it doesn't work, well, unin... Yeah, you would have to uninstall. I did this with my comp. But I had a CD so, yeah. If System Restore doesn't work, you have no other choice.

I did that yesterday. It just dragged the viruses with me. Now it's slower. >_>

I don't think you have any other choice... There are a couple of other things that I can think of, but, you NEED (literally need) a fast comp. If it's slow, it will freeze your comp.
