I'm gonna format my Wii now and was hoping some quick posts could tell me if I shouldn't. I have an SD card to backup saves and channels with. But if I do will I ruin my Wii in other ways? |

Formatting is basically deleting everything in the memory, so no, it's not smart. But since you've backed stuff up, go ahead. |

The problem is that I can't backup Mario kart Wii and Brawl save data. And the save data is at high value for me right now. |

I want the Homebrew channel and was too *crag* up in my head to update the Wii into version 3.4 where the Twilight hack won't work. A friend of mine was gonna give me Twilight princess back the day after my update  ! If I format my Wii I will get the first version of the Wii and may transfer the twilight hack. But, I got MKWII and SSBB saves that won't copy to the SD card for backup so I refuse to format. Luckily a new version for firmware 3.4 is under way so I just gotta wait. Don't ask me how to get this to your Wii. Ask on Youtube and let them take the responsibility. I won't get striked again. |
