The decline in quality was one of the factors that lead to me buying a PS3. I still have my Wii just in case a good game comes out again... |

Wii has its moments, but the majority of awesome-fun games I have been getting my hands on are on the X-Box 360.
Nintendo's attention has, more or less, shifted from the core gamers to the casual ones. There are MANY titles on the DS, for example, which are completely stupid/bizarre and many core gamers, I believe, would not really buy.
Case in point: the My Coach series of DS 'games'. |

Nintendo's marketing team suddenly grew brilliant, and found out that they could actually beat the sales competition this go-around by catering to the casual crowd. Unfortunately, that screwed over us true gamers. |

That image is pointless; even the "one guy who actually likes videogames" mentioned nothing but "core" games. As much as people don't want to admit it, deep down, they know Nintendo stopped caring about creating quality games, as Nintendo's philosophy is "release a core game every 2-3 months." Of course, if Nintendo's idea of a "core" game is a slightly improved sequel to Animal Crossing, that long time period for the rest of us is doubled.
It isn't hard to realize that the 360 is the console of choice in terms of library (And the PS3 will eventually be the console of choice in the future), and the Wii is, by and large, a gimmick for the casual crowd. |

*sees the pic*
Let's see... I'm 10, probably 18 -and- 19 (but I don't import simply because I don't know Japanese), definitely 23, and most likely 24. Im a console-and-PC gamer, so I don't really go nuts about who has what thing and whether their thing is bad or good. I focus on the games. |

I strive to be 23, but feel abit like a mix of 13(sucker for the SNES and Genisis),5,27(I occasionally grief on TF2), and 26(I fly into an unseen rage if I've been playing Brawl for too long and lose)
And Cid, keep in mind the image says STEREOTYPES.
Those are all just blatent examples of how gamers are split up. It's still pretty valid.ಠ_ಠ |

It's mostly irrelevant to the topic, however. We're not discussing what type of gamers we are; we're discussing Nintendo's quality, if I'm correct, and that image lends little to the debate on either side of this issue. |
