Censored, dubbed, whatever. They're concerned it won't sell well, because Earthbound didn't sell right?
ONE PROBLEM, WE'RE NOT IN THE 90S ANYMORE. We have something called SMASH now. You know, the smash bros. series? I'm betting younger kids are DYING to play "That game Lucas is in!", and alot of older people will want nostalgia. It would sell well, even if it's just a port. Does it take effort to make a port? No. Do you get money from a port with three games in it? Deffinitely. |

MOTHER3 was never released in America, and America and Japan have vastly different views on curse words. Therefore, if MOTHER 3 were released in america, they would have to edit about half of everything Kuma says in the game.

Yeah, I think it would be a good idea to censor it. Or replace words. That would be preferable of the 2 choices. |

The worst thing to do is for Nintendo to hire 4Kids to come up with genius ways of censoring aspects like death, graveyards, and wine. Like say: The Pork Army kidnaps Hinawa, and they add in a Dungeon section, where you can rescue her! |

It wouldn't sell as much as it would due to the translation patch out now, they should've released it BEFORE the translation patch, that way they could've gotten more moolah. |

Or they could just translate it as is and slap an M for dialogue on it.
Either way, it's too late now if they're aiming for sales. Translation came out a while ago, so everyone waiting for a release in America that has/beat the translation won't buy the real deal now. |

everybody needs to BE QUIET with the they'll censor eet!!!111.
There may be a little censorship. that'll be fine.
But you know what?
Mother 2 wasn't censored all that much
and we're not in the 90's. Gay refferences (tony) were in earthbound and I'm sure in an american release of Mother 3 the Magypsies would still look like transvestites. |

Those games are getting old now and REALLY boring. And for th Earthbound games just place a "Bad language" mark on the cover. And then it's happy ending. |
