I put my cartridge into my N64, and after a couple games of on and off, it works.
I get to the file screen, and am greeted with nothing. I find this strange, so I mess with my memory card, but that does nothing. So I say "Screw it" and start a file.
Here's where it gets weird. The moment I gain control, I die. And then I see that I have no heath, and all my c buttons are filled with Ocarinas of Time. I open my inventory. Filling all my item spaces and mask spaces are ocarinas. Naturally, I'm like "WHAT THE *crag*" here.
I continue, get some deku nuts, and they take the proper slot in my inventory. Yaaaaaay.
After meeting with the Happy Mask Salesman, I pull out one of my ocarinas and learn the song of healing. Now what's wrong? I have no sword or shield. I also find out that if I get hurt or heal, I die. Ouch.
I got fed up with this, and turned off the game, took the cart out, put it back in, played on and off, and when I get to the file screen, mine and my mom's save files are there, all normal.

Also, I don't have a memory card for my games at all.
The only thing I have that goes into the controller is the GB reader...
don't the games save right onto the cartridge? |

I was old enough to know.
It's both a memory card and a rumble pak.
There are seperate mem card attachments and rumble pak attachments. |
