Or, if you feel like a really *crag* depressing fantasy book, you could go with The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever: Lord Foul's Bane, by Steven R. Donaldson.
The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever is my favorite book series ever, but it's so ridiculously depressing that it's unbelievable. |
