I decided I'd work on a new story. However, due to my laziness and possible loss of creativity it may not update too much. Or ever. This is also because I have a tendency to come up with a story's beginning and end, but never get the middle stuff done. I'll try to finish this, no promises though.
Anyway, as you can see, it's titled "Underappreciated." You'll find out why later in the story. Note that I won't divide it into chapters, as that would make things different.
The small island’s jungle was truly a peaceful sight. And in that jungle, a single small village lay on top of a plateau. These people were happy, and unknowing of the next thing that was to come.
A small, black object fell from the sky; however, no one saw it. Where it fell, a huge conflagration erupted, and the jungle was quickly enveloped in flames. The villagers had set up a fire brigade, but one look at that fire was enough to tell them an attempt to douse it would be suicide. Instead, it was attempted to get everyone to safety. Luckily, they were quick, and there were none missing and only minor injuries at worst.
For hours, the fire burned. Finally, after destroying ¾ of the jungle and about half the village, it seemed to give up, and burned out. Strong men from the village were sent out to search the area where it had started. They came back with two halves to a round object. They took it to the village elders, but they didn’t know what it was. The village mystic took it and determined that it was a container that had held a fire demon. However, it couldn’t fuel itself with human life, as everyone had escaped, and it eventually died. Calmed, the people of the village went back to their daily lives.

Zenelly looked down upon the small island from his luxury class airship. He was a tall, handsome man, with plotting eyes, and fancily dressed. "Well, it seems our little scare tactic has worked, wouldn't you say, Bertram?" He looked over to a wide man, equally fancy.
"I would agree, my dear friend. Perhaps it is time to collect our due?" Bertram said in a husky voice.
The two put on some jackets, facemasks, and parachutes. "You are to return in 3 days to pick us up and any cargo we have, understood?" Zenelly shouted to the airship pilot, who simply nodded. The two jumped.
After free falling for a while, the pair pulled their parachutes and floated down. They landed away from the village, which was good. They ditched their equipment, and traveled to the village.
Upon arriving, they were greeted by guards' spears to their necks. "Excuse me, gentlemen," Zenelly said. "We would like to speak with your elder."
"What for?" one of the guards replied.
"Well, I understand there was a large fire here."
"How would you know of this?" the guard asked. His tongue was surprisingly smooth.
"Well," said Zenelly, pausing a moment. "The fire demons and I know eachother. They told me of this place and what they planned to do. So I decided I would try to help you protect yourselves from them." Looking suspicious, the guards slowly drew away their spears from Zenelly. However, Bertram was still in danger of being skewered.
"And him?"
"He is my accomplice. I go nowhere without him." Spears withdrew, and the guards told Zenelly and Bertram to follow them. They received many strange looks from the villagers.
